A Super Eagles defender has come out to restate his commitment to the Nigerian national team. Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem believes the Eagles friendlies vs Poland and Serbia will test the quality of the squad and he’s ready to fight for this place.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play Poland on 23 March in Warsaw, Poland before facing Serbia four days later in London in the forest two pre-world cup friendlies.

21-year-old Awaziem has made two appearances for Nigeria, he played in the Super Eagles 4-2 defeat of Argentina in November at Krasnodar, Russia.
The star said, “The World Cup is around the corner and everybody is eager to be there so these friendlies will offer great chance for us to prove we are ready,”
“I believe we will show our qualities like we did against Argentina when we take on Poland and Serbia who have great players like them too.”
Awaziem who made his 20th Ligue 1 start for Nantes in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Troyes added that he is comfortable playing in any system for the Super Eagles.
The defender was excellent in Nigeria in three man defence last November vs La Albiceleste .
“I’m completely fine playing in any formation the coach wants and I believe the opposing team determines how we set up to play so for me no problem.”
