NYSC Mourn With The Late Professor’s Family

At the head of a high powered delegation to condole with the family of the family of its pioneer National Governing Board Chairman in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, the Director Press and Public Relations Unit (PPRU) who delivered a message on behalf of the management to the deceased family commended the foresight of late Adededji.

Describing the late Professor Adebayo Adedeji as one of the pillar of the scheme in the country.

Adeyemi state that the deceased contributions led to the establishment of the 45-year-old NYSC scheme, adding that the scheme remained relevant.

She said, “The NYSC which is 45 years old is still very relevant today. If not for the NYSC, we would not be here today.”

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of gifts to the family in support of the family.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Adedeji family, Dr. Olufunsho Adeddeji appreciated the support of the scheme to the family at the moment of grief.

He said that though his father was among eminent Nigerians that conceived the vision that led to the establishment of the NYSC, the present managers were doing a great job and advised them to keep it up.

The delegation includes the Lagos, Osun and Ogun states Coordinators, Prince Mohammed Momoh, Mr. Emmanuel Atah and Mr. Okpo John, respectively.
