Iker Casillas has sealed an emotional return to Real Madrid, according to Marca.
He will work alongside club president, Florentino Perez, in an advisory role.
The legendary goalkeeper is expected to officially announce his retirement after Porto clinched won the league in Portugal.
His new role will come as a surprise, following his controversial departure from the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015.
Casillas left following a heated exchange of words with Perez.
The bitter fallout between the two led to Casillas leaving with limited fanfare, in a move which infuriated supporters.
The 39-year-old tearfully announced he would be leaving in a press conference, which he conducted on his own and without any representative from the club.
However, he returns to Madrid, to work closely with Perez after they clinched their 34th LaLiga title.
