Governor Buni disowns Facebook page requesting for account numbers

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has warned people in the state not to conduct any transaction with handlers of a Facebook account bearing his name, stating that it is fake.

Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed, gave the warning in a statement he issued on Thursday and made available to DAILY POST in Damaturu.

“This is to draw the attention of the public to a fake Facebook account bearing the name of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, Executive Governor of Yobe State.

“The handler of the fake account was asking for some people to send account and telephone numbers,” the statement said.

The statement also advised the general public to disregard the fake account and the request for account and telephone numbers, saying that appropriate measures are being taken to trace and bring to book those behind the account.
