FCT confirms five new cases as toll rises to 138

Five persons were, on Friday, confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 in Abuja.
DAILY POST had reported that NCDC on Friday confirmed 114 new cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 1095.
It said, “80 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 21 in Gombe, 5 in FCT, 2 in Zamfara, 2 in Edo, 1 in Ogun 1 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Sokoto State.”
Confirming the development on Twitter, the FCTA wrote, “five new cases in the FCF.
“Summary of #COVID19FCT as at 11:30pm, 24th April, 2020.
“Total number of confirmed cases: 138.Total number of active cases: 100
“Total discharged: 35. Deaths recorded: 3
“Residents are urged to continue to #StayHome and #StaySafe.”
