Ekiti Youths, Students, Kick Against Ogun Indigenes’ Supremacy In FUOYE

Youths and students of Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), who are indigenes of Ekiti State have kicked against the domination of Ogun State Indigenes in the school.

They condemned the removal of the Registrar, the only principal officer from Ekiti State, Mr Daniel Adeyemo, in favour of Mrs O. Fasakin.

The Students accused the VC, Prof. Kayode Soremekun who is also an indegene of Ogun State of victimising Staff members from Ekiti.

They also accused Soremekun of fabricating allegations of sexual harassment and negligence of duty against Adeyemo,” who was removed to pave the way for Mrs Fasakin

They urged the Federal Government to replace Soremekun in the interest of “justice, fairness and equity” to save FUOYE from being turned into a “conquered territory of Ogun indigenes”.

They threatened and gave a 21day Ultimatum to the management, Governing Council and the Federal Ministry of Education to reverse the Registrar’s removal, or they will take their protest from Ekiti to Abuja.
