COVID-19: UK death toll hits 30,076

The Sokoto State Government, on Wednesday night, confirmed 18 new COVID-19 cases in the State.

The State Ministry of Health disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter page.

According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed eight people in the State as of Wednesday night.

It tweeted: “Sokoto State #Covid19 case update as of Wednesday 06/05/2020:

“18 New Cases, 85 Total Confirmed, 75 Active Cases, 2 Discharged, 8 Deaths.”

“#StaySafe #StayAtHome #WashYourHands #CoronaVirusIsReal #MaintainSocialDistance,” It added.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, had on Monday, disclosed that 8 pm to 6 am curfew would be in place in the State as part of new measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as of Wednesday night is 3145, according to the NCDC.
