COVID-19: Nigeria takes delivery of 7-tons of hydroxychloroquine from India

Nigeria has received seven tonnes of hydroxychloroquine from India.
This was confirmed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha while speaking at Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF).
Mustapha expressed his gratitude to India for the donation, as well as other countries helping Nigeria fight COVID-19.
“The PTF wishes to thank friendly nations and corporate organisations for their continuing support through the donation of medicines and equipment,” he said.
“In this regard, we thank India for the donation of 7-tons of hydroxychloroquine for treatment of patients,” assuring that “the resources will be judiciously utilized.”
There are currently over 38,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
