COVID-19: Lagos Govt begins house to house search for infected persons

Lagos State, on Tuesday, confirmed the death of a 45-year-old Nigerian COVID-19 patient.

The State’s Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi also confirmed that it recorded no case on Monday.

Recall that while the NCDC confirmed new cases in Kano, Gombe, Abia, Kaduna and FCT on Monday night, Lagos State surprisingly recorded no case.

Nigeria now has a total of 655 confirmed cases in the country.

Abayomi tweeted, “No new case of #COVID19 was confirmed in Lagos on 20th April, 2020.

“However, #COVID19 related deaths were recorded in Lagos. One of the deceased was a 45 years old Nigerian male who returned from India in January, 2020.”
