Over two million people have now been infected with the Coronavirus across the world, with over 100,000 deaths.

According to statistics from the John Hopkins University, as of Wednesday evening, there were 2,023,663 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 132,276 deaths.

About 185 counties/regions have been affected by the pandemic.

The United States of America has more cases than any country in the world with 614,482 patients.

Spain is next with 177,633 cases and Italy has recorded 165,155 cases.

Yemen has the lowest figure, with just one confirmed case.

Of the 507,330 persons who have recovered from COVID-19, China tops the list with 78,311 recoveries, followed by Germany with 72,600 recoveries.

The outbreak of COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on March 11, 2020.
