Coronavirus: UK records highest daily death in the world

The United Kingdom (UK) on Friday, recorded the highest daily Coronavirus death toll in the world.
UK recorded 980 daily deaths to surpass their previous record of 938.
The United Kingdom (UK) Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter account.
According to the tweet, the total number of people that have died of COVID-19 so far in the UK is 8,958.
“As of 9am 10 April, 316,836 tests have concluded, with 19,116 tests on 9 April.
“256,605 people have been tested of which 73,758 tested positive.
“As of 5pm on 9 April, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 8,958 have sadly died,” DHSC tweeted.
DAILY POST recalls that DHSC had on Thursday provided an update on COVID-19 in the UK.
