President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday, April 27, 2020, 8pm, address the Nation.
This was confirmed in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity.
“Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
Ahead of the broadcast, there are already speculations that the President will order a ban on inter-state movement as requested by governors.
The lockdown which has been extended twice already is aimed at tackling the spread of COVID-19 across the country.
Recall that the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, had on Sunday said only the President can determine when to lift the presidential lockdown order.
Ehanire in an interview said the President will make that announcement in his own time. We will give him the facts, he will consider the facts and make his decision using his wisdom,”
