Borno Govt confirms 6 new cases of coronavirus



COVID-19: Borno Govt orders total lockdown, shuts borders

The Borno State government has confirmed six new cases of coronavirus disease in the State.

The confirmation was made by the Borno State Ministry of Health in a tweet via its Twitter account on Thursday.

The tweet read “As at 11:55pm 29th April, 2020 NCDCgov confirmed 6 new positive cases of Covid-19 in Borno State.

“Total number of cases in the State: 59.

“Active cases: 50.

“9 deaths have been recorded with no patient discharged.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Wednesday confirmed 196 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Nigeria now has 1,728 confirmed cases; 307 patients out of these have been discharged, while 51 deaths have been recorded.
