The rally of the ruling All Progressives Congress at Ogun state today met a frightening end as hoodlums pelted the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole with stones.
President Muhammadu Buhari and some other Chieftains managed to escape the attack from visibly angry residents.
The campaign which began immediately after President Buhari arrived the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, reached its end the moment violence erupted, when Oshiomhole was invited to the podium for his speech.
While Oshiomhole began to speak, the hoodlums started throwing stones at him and one of the stones flew in the direction where the President was sitting.
One of the stones missed its target and hit the president’s security official. Consequently, the development angered the leaders of the party, including former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, who left the podium while the President was making his remarks.
