A community life project initiative otherwise known as Reclaim Naija has urged Nigerians not to wait until 2019 before they engage the government to do the needful in their locality.
The program officer community level Lanre Arileola said the need for citizens not to relent in coordinating themselves into trade groups to engage their local government chairmen to do the necessary in their locality. He mentioned this while speaking yesterday at the community to Life project in Kosofe Local government and Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.
In his statement, “our civic mobilization and sensitization is ongoing in Osun, Ekiti, Lagos and we are interested in the development of our community.” He added that the essence of reclaiming Nigeria is not to antagonize the government but to reason together to get their needs met.
Also, he stated that the citizens should be willing to coordinate themselves in groups like artisans, women group, youths and people living with a disability. Residents should be able to identify an articulate individual as their spokesperson and identify the need you want them to address and refrain from being confrontational but constructively engage them, he stressed.
